We at Beervibe graciously thank all the participants of this beer tasting. And of course no event can truly be fun without fun friends. So here is the last beer of the series.

Fat Tire Amber Ale from New Belgium Brewery

5.2% ABV, 22 IBU

The Pour: Could be prettier.

Ms. Hopologist: “Not much head.”

Once Upon a German: “Not great.”

ALE-Jandro: “Not much going on.”

Score: 2.3/5


The Smell: Musty malty caramel.

Ms. Hopologist: “Whole grain.”

Once Upon a German: “Caramelly.”

ALE-Jandro: “Liquid bread, yeasty smell”

Score: 2/5


The Color: Amber copper.

Ms. Hopologist: “As expected, good color.”

Once Upon a German: “Lives up to the color.”

ALE-Jandro: “Coppery Red.”

Score: 3.3/5


The Flavor: Lightly malted.

Ms. Hopologist: “Mild malt and citrus.”

Once Upon a German: “A bit light, yeasty flavor.”

ALE-Jandro: “Mild Grapefruit with light malt.”

Score: 3/5


The Mouthfeel: Slight watery, not bad.

Ms. Hopologist: “Light body, watery.”

Once Upon a German: “Smooth, nice aftertaste.”

ALE-Jandro: “Balanced ending, slightly watery.”

Score: 2.6/5


Total Score: 2.6/5

Ending Comments

For the love of good beer, we have no trouble enjoying any beer, regardless of the ending score. Again, the experience of drinking good beer with great friends totally beats drinking alone. So this end this series. Keep dropping by as we move on to new beers and new experiences in the ever expanding BEERVIBE WORLD.
